Disney Cruise Line Navigator App Reviews

This was essential to our vacation. We used it to look at menus, dining hours, locations of character meetings. Very helpful. I think we wouldve missed out on many things had we not checked the app. Also great to be able to text with each other via this app.

My family and I went on the Disney Dream and the app worked great.There were no problems at all.We mostly used it to know where people were.....you can get separated very easily,if you are not paying attention.It is a very helpful app

This was the 2nd Disney cruise for a group of 5 families with 9 kids ages 9-14. The app allowed them more freedom than we normally wouldve allowed. The wave phones were great the first trip but were more of a hassle this time and died the two times we tried to use them. The app was a handy and convenient tool for us and allowed us to communicate with the kids and each other at any given time. We only had to restart a couple of times and DCL did tell us to refresh on occasion to get current updates. Also, I agree that the app and paper navigator work well together in harmony. How did we ever manage in the past????

I have used this app before on Disney cruise and it was always great to find out what was going on around the ship. We just went on the fantasy and they added a chat room. For me it worked pretty well. Very few times did a text come in super late. I think this is a great idea instead of walking around with the wave phones all the time.

We used the app several times a day. It was very helpful to find activities, dinner attire, dinner menu and movies. I would highly recommend it!

Great way to communicate on board with others. Also helped me know all upcoming events and places to go aboard the ship.

It was a very nice and organized app although they need some more details and could work on the messaging too. Sometimes I wouldnt get any messages until I opened the app and went to messages so that was annoying. I also kept on losing connection so it wouldnt let me send messages either. The app itself needs some help too, like details of where the ship is located at the moment on a map like when your on an airplane. I found myself asking a lot Where are we? and how far are we until the next island? But other than that I had a really good time and this app helped with a lot of it.

Great app and above expectations. Messaging should support photos and video, and a daily agenda like the Disney Parks app. Favorites arent enough. Otherwise its very well done.

We had a party of 17 and the app we thought would be a fantastic way to communicate and coordinate events. Unfortunately the app is free on day 1 after that data would have to be purchased. We agreed as a family that if a party of 10 or more book the cruise the app should be free for the whole entire cruise. Others than that the cruise was Fantastic!!

Good app but the messaging sometimes takes a while to get delivered

This app is very helpful checking out activities going on and the times they start. The only issue I have is that it needs to have some kind of sound tone or a better vibrate function. You have to constantly look at your phone to know if someone messaged you or if a favorite activity is starting.

It is sometimes hard to find things on the navigator or you want more details about something thats not on the navigator, so this app works out very well!! It is so helpful too! I used it to prepare for the day during my Disney Cruise on the Disney Dream on April 15-18, 2016! The deck plans helped me and the dinner menus were great to look at! Also I liked how when you favorite something, it will remind you about it when the time comes! Thanks so much!

We were able to stay in touch thru text messages among the 3 of us. Not sure if theres 5 or more in your family if the Text messages will be slower. We loved that we were able to check all the activities and put our favorites. We were able to get to most of the character appearances.

Easy to use and follow. Very convenient and modern in keeping updated with activities. Provided all the information we needed from activity meetings, dinner locations, embarkation/disembarkation times, etc. Did not get to use the messages but will next time.

We had a blast on our Disney Fantasy cruise. The app was very valuable but sometimes it took awhile for the other family we were traveling with to get our text messages.

My family literally just got home from our 5-night Caribbean cruise on the Disney Wonder. We had a blast! The Disney Cruise Line app was a great and fantastic help. It let us know what activities were scheduled for the days of the cruise and when I favorited them, I got reminders 15 minutes before the activity, which was great and gave me time to prepare, walk, or finish whatever I was doing. The deck plans was also great because it helped my family get to know the ship a little better and know where places were. I would prefer that maybe a "You Are Here" feature be available that way making my way through the ship easier to know where I am or near (forward, midship, or aft). I am so glad this app exists because it made our first cruise easier and let us experience the magic of making our dreams come true. Thank you Disney!!

This app is amazing. It helped us so much planning out day out and was super easy to use. Deck plans included and menus for up coming dinners were just great to have. I cant speak on behalf of the texting as it wasnt used much but worked when we tried it. If your planning a DCL cruise then download this app.
